The old trucker has made his last run.
His days of following the white lines are done.
His engine is silent, his wheels are still.
The last page of his log book filled.
Now he travels heavenly highways with ease.
With no dispatcher he must please.
His way is clear, his load is light.
No longer must he make the good flight.
Those left behind are full of sorrow.
But they believe in God's tomorrow.
And so they wish him Godspeed, knight of the road.
